American Violet

A single African-American mother of three struggles to clear her name after being wrongly accused and arrested for dealing drugs in an impoverished town in Texas. She can’t afford a lawyer and can’t take the deal the attorney offers (letting her out on probation) because this would lead to losing the custody to her violent ex-husband.
